My favorite island is situated in the mouth of the Oslo fjord among the raw rock formations formed from the last ice age.
The timelessness and the feeling of something everlasting also for us as generations after generations is coming back.
Here is the ocean in command with its unpredictable changes and variations often just within a day.
Its windy all the time, it’s sunny, it’s always something you have forgotten or that is broken, so you are never empty handed, and never bored, but the feeling of leaving everything behind and step into another world is an endless love affair.
Summer on the island feels like countless soft days from June, but as the days are passing you realize that the light shifts, the sea turns darker, the birds fly lower, the deer comes closer and the melancholy that, yet another summer is coming to an end and you have to return to the so called “real world”.
