Finse

Snowy landscapes

Finse station is the highest station at the Norwegian railway system at 1222 meters above sea level.

Overlooking the beautiful and stunning Hardangerjøkulen and only reachable by rail and with a population of 10 this is one of Norways most unique places with constantly changing weather conditions and least but not last with the light shifting every minute.
From a photographers view this is by far the most challenging and rewarding scenery to be in.

The feeling of remoteness and isolation is also tempting and with the unpretencious look and style your mind is drawn back to the history associated the place, and the community back then.
